Dublin visit for Malton firm

A DESIGN and textiles company from Ryedale has travelled to Dublin in a bid to find new markets for its products.

Carol Cummins of Malton met international buyers at Showcase Ireland, a craft fair offering a variety of products to around 10,000 visitors over its four-day opening period.

The company, named after its founder in 1996, initially catered for the public but has since targeted trade business.

Lorraine Ellison of the UK Trade & Investment Sector said that the Dublin event was a chance for exhibitors to "capture new opportunities".

The products from Carol Cummins are largely wreaths and garlands made using natural produce.
