Big breakfasts fit the bill

BIG breakfasts equal big rewards for the new Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Sally Robinson, who runs dotcom and mail order company AmpleBosom from Valley View Farm, near Helmsley, is set to give the New Year a "frying" start by serving up English breakfasts in support of Farmhouse Breakfast Week from Saturday, January 22, until the following Saturday in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Sally, who also operates holiday cottages from her farm, is offering breakfasting AmpleBosom customers an opportunity to get an expert bra fitting, choosing from 8,000 lines of lingerie and 178 different sizes, ranging from a 28D to a 58J.

Since 1999, when Sally diversified from farming to meet the demand for plus-sizes difficult to find on the High Street, her venture has built up a national and international reputation.

Her other diversification - farm cottages - has also increased in popularity. She said: "The Yorkshire Air Ambulance does a terrific job saving lives across the region and I thought it would be a great idea to help the charity by organising an unusual fundraising event and at the same time encourage women to make time for an exclusive bra fitting which could result in transforming their figures and putting their curves back in the right places."

The Regional Food Group for Yorkshire and Humber is heading the "Deliciouslyorkshire" Breakfast On Tour which will see nine of the county's best farm shops serving up their fare to customers.

The Deliciouslyorkshire Breakfast On Tour will at The Balloon Tree Farmshop and Cafe, Gate Helmsley on Wednesday, January 25, between 2.30pm and 4.30pm, and the Castle Howard Farm Shop on Sunday, January 29, between 10am and 4.30pm.
