Team puts the customer first

MOTOR retailer Mercedes-Benz North Yorkshire has strengthened its customer relations management (CRM) team with the appointment of two new customer relations advisers.

The team is based at the dealer's main site at Clifton Moor and also services the dealerships in Harrogate and Scarborough.

Emma Jones, who worked at BMW in Malton where she was sales receptionist, and Oliver Hainsworth, from York, are the new recruits.

They are joined by Paul Midgley who has been with the company for four years following a 20-year career in the IT industry where he concentrated on training.

Paul is responsible for managing the dealership's database of some 20,000 customers.

Leading the CRM team is Victoria Streek, who has been with the company for three years in both customer relations and marketing posts and has nearly completed the Mercedes-Benz three-year CRM training programme.

"This new team means we can provide a pro-active service to our customers alerting them when MOTs and services are due as well as informing them about promotions and customer events," she said.

"We will provide a fully personalised service so that we can meet customer needs even more effectively."

Earlier this year Mercedes-Benz North Yorkshire's CRM team was judged the top performing CRM team in England for their performance throughout 2004.
