An ambitious office development at Swinton Grange near Malton will soon have its first phase complete.
Historic buildings between Malton and Castle Howard are being converted by developers Amadeus Properties into five new self-contained units, ranging in size from 119 sq metres to 372 sq metres.
Andrew McBeath of MPC Ltd, is property consultant for the site. He said: "The intention is to offer complete flexibility. We can sell or lease buildings or even offer someone a lease with a right to buy at some point within the lease term."
He said that Amadeus Properties could separate the buildings if necessary, providing units from as little as 60 sq metres.
"We have always felt that this scheme would be ideal for small and growing companies because it provides them with the opportunity to own their own premises," he added. "This is an ideal investment decision as it presents the choice of simply having ownership of their business premises with any extra rental income from renting out surplus space or putting it into a pension fund."
Employers Escada, the Primary Care Trust and PLB Consulting Ltd have already moved to the site to occupy unit two - known as the Dovecote.
Car parking provision and the stunning grounds with wooded areas, lawns and fields are some of the main attractions of the site.
Further phases are planned and Amadeus Properties is considering the provision of a quality child care facility.
