Finance chief wins top award

ACCOUNTANCY association chiefs have named an Easingwold professional as a top award winner.

The Association of Accounting Technicians' (AAT) - a professional membership body for the industry - has handed its Past Presidents' Award to Alfred Boddison, a member of the association since its birth in 1980.

Alfred was named for his key contribution to the association, after setting up its branch in North Yorkshire and helping to start one in West Yorkshire.

AAT professional development director Adam Harper said: "This award recognises Alfred's exceptional dedication to the AAT and in particular his work with the West Yorkshire and North Yorkshire branches.

"Throughout his branch involvement he has led by example and seized opportunities to aid the participation and development of other AAT members.

"His branch involvement has also meant that Alfred has played a vital role in the provision of continuing professional development opportunities in Yorkshire."
