Sarah's friends say a big 'thank you'

YOUNG farmers from Ryedale went carol singing to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, as a 'thank you' to the emergency service, whose speedy actions helped save the life of one of the group's members.

Sarah Beal was seriously injured in a hunting accident before Christmas, but is now making a good recovery, thanks particularly to the treatment she received from members of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance who were called to the incident.

So it was that Snainton Young Farmers' Club, of which Sarah is a member, decided to donate the proceeds of its annual carol singing event to the air ambulance.

The Snainton group holds meetings every Monday night at 7.30pm at Snainton village hall. The club takes part in lots of different events. For example, it receives visits from the Territorial Army, has trips to the cinema, goes bowling and stages club quizzes. If you are interested in joining, please telephone (01944) 711735.
