DERWENT

It has certainly been a hectic but enjoyable week as the club began rehersals for the County entertainments weekend, to be held at Keighly on February 27.

Led by Pete Smith, around half of our members are expected to be involved in the production, a series of comedy sketches, that includes wannabe rock stars and vacuum cleaners.

An overdue thanks must go to senior member and keen ploughman Neil Headley for doing well at Amotherby YFC's recently-held ploughing match.

For further information please contact, Matt Bennett 07815 109544 or Emma Plumley 07789 918850.

Kirkbymoorside

The meeting on January 12 was a business meeting. On January 19, members were shown round the fire station at Kirkbymoorside by Brian Hall, Adrian Thompson and Adrian Sleightholme. It was very interesting knowing how a fire station is run. The meeting on January 26 was rally preparation.

Snainton

Snainton Young Farmers welcomed members of their Advisory Committee for a quiz night on Monday. The competition, written and run by Ann and Sid Pearson, was in the format of a pub quiz.

The Beer Team, whose members were Roz and Nick Abbey, Helen Pattison and Craig Avison were the top scorers, with the Ladies in Pink and the Number Ones in second and third places.

Snainton Young Farmers meet most Mondays, usually at the village hall. If you would like to find out about this thriving youth club, please ring Yvonne on 850032.
