Forward on June 4 were 79 cattle and 76 sheep.

RUSWARP

Forward on June 7 were 12 cattle and 125 sheep including 58 ewes.

Cattle: finished steers, premium to 116.5p (109.9p), prime 98.5p, others 85.5p; finished heifers,prime 97.5p, others to 93.5p (92p).

SELBY

Forward on May 29 were 111 cattle, 359 store pigs, 48 sheep.

Cattle: bull calves to £195, heifer calves to £95; cows and calves to £610, in-calf cows to £360; bull stirks to £340, heifer stirks to £285; bulls to £595 on green, £428 on red; steers £535 on green, £562 on blue, £472 on red, heifers to £455.

Sheep: ewes and lambs to £82, store lambs to £53.

Forward on June 1 were 326 cattle including 203 clean, 108 bulls, 15 cows; 932 sheep including 731 spring lambs, 65 hoggs, 122 ewes; 576 pigs including 83 sows, four boars.

THIRSK

Forward on June 2 were 143 store cattle including 39 young bulls; 80 store and breeding sheep including 26 ewes with 51 lambs and three geld gimmer hoggs. A good show of cattle met a sharp trade for all classes of stock especially claiming males and stronger heifers. A lighter show of sheep met an easier trade.

Forward on June 3 at the weekly sale of prime stock were 561 cattle including 222 bulls; 988 prime sheep including 210 ewes; 188 pigs including 77 sows and two boars.

Cattle: steers, light to 95.5p (average 94p), med to 125.5p (106.5p), heavy to 127.5p (109.6p); heifers, light to 118.5p (114.1p), med to 139.5p (113.1p), heavy to 137.5p (114.1p); young bulls, light to 98.5p (80.03p), med to 116.5p (91.88p), heavy to 123.5p (100.51p).

Forward on June 3 were 187 accredited cattle including 32 calves, 151 store cattle, two plus two cows and calves; 32 store pigs.

Cattle: AA cow and calf BAH to £600, Lim heifer and calf BAH to £700; store cattle, Ch to £430 (ave steers £332, heifers £399), Lim to £520 (ave bulls £370, steers £480, heifers £390), Sim to £568 (ave bulls £465, steers £568, heifers £306), BB to £562 (ave steers £562, heifers £380). Fr to £350.

Totals for livestock auction and collection centre sales over the seven days to June 7. Forward were 372 cattle including 340 live auction, 32 OTMs; 833 sheep, 666 lambs, 97 ewes, 70 deadweight; 595 pigs, 241 live auction, 330 deadweight, 24 sows.

Cattle: young bulls, Cont to 138.5p (112.7p), B&W to 111.5p (91.4p); steers, Cont to 124.5p (108.2p), others to 101.5p (90.2p); heifers, Cont to 144.5p (110.8p), others 103.5p (91p).
