THIRSK

Forward on May 19 were 120 cattle comprising 47 young bulls and 73 steers and heifers; 333 store and breeding sheep comprising 126 ewes and hoggs with 176 lambs and 31 geld hoggs. A lighter show of cattle met a sharper trade for quality, especially males ready to claim and premium heifers. A lighter show of sheep met an easier trade than on the previous fortnight.
