A pair of successful Sundays

Middleton Pony Club

On Sunday, May 2, the Middleton branch of the Pony Club held a pleasure ride through the Castle Howard Estate. Riders came from all over Yorkshire and enjoyed the scenery and sunshine, while completing a new 12-mile route. Many thanks must go to our hosts, organisers and helpers as we were able to swell club funds.

On Sunday, May 9, the Middleton branch fielded both a senior and junior Prince Philip Cup games team at the area finals at Thirlby near Thirsk The senior team of Fiona Bolland, Tom Dales, Becky, Joanna and Laura Mason, finished fifth. The junior team of Ollie Dales, Emily and William Easterby, Charlie Mason and Caitlin Pitcher came joint second, which resulted in a play-off with the bottle race giving them third place.

Prince Philip Cup Games are next available to watch at Sledmere Show and the Bramham Horse Trials.
