THE club held its AGM on March 24. The election of officers was held, with Annabel Strickland elected president, Stephen Eddon elected chairman and treasurer and Rachel Scaling as secretary, with other positions being filled by members.

On March 31, members went pig judging by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Dowkes at Great Edstone. Simon Hall was master judge. Paul Simpson came first, Andrew Foxton second and Sally Turnbull third. Members enjoyed a good supper afterwards.

On April 7, members went dairy and beef judging by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Turnbull at Sinnington. Dairy judge was Chris Lythe. Andrew Dowkes came first, Sally Turnbull second and Paul Strickland third. Beef judges were David Wass and Richard Strickland. Robert Scaling came first, Andrew Dowkes second and Ben Turnbull third. Members enjoyed a good supper.

On April 14, members went to Les Jones at Wrelton, by kind permission, to judge breeding ewes and butcher's lambs. Master judge was Pete Turnbull. Members just placed breeding ewes and Pete gave pointers, members then judged and gave reasons on butcher's lambs. David Simpson came first, Caroline Dixon second and Richard Dixon third.
