Young Farmers' Club reports

SNAINTON

ON Monday, April 19, Snainton Young Farmers paid a visit to Catherine and David Williamson's farm where Catherine spoke to them on the subject of sheep judging.

They then went on to Wydale Cote where they were shown the important points of heifer judging by Edward Hardwick and Alan Tyson.

AMOTHERBY

ON April 5, Amotherby Young Farmers went to Duggie Lund's farm to judge four of his dairy cows.

The competition was at a very high level and a few members found it quite challenging. Duggie gave the club top tips for when they judge.

Results: joint first Laura Fargher and Simon Pearson. Well done, say club members who also thank Helen "who made the most gorgeous chocolate crispes and cubs of tea" for members following the judging.
