All about art at Amotherby

YOUNGSTERS at a Ryedale school have had a brush with a visiting artist.

All six classes at Amotherby County Primary School spent a day each with accomplished artist Malcolm Wray, of Warwickshire (see picture at right).

Mr Wray helped them to interpret lessons they were learning - for example, on British history since 1948 - into art.

He created a number of pieces of art, including large-scale paintings on fabric.

Head teacher Bob Audsley said pupils had really enjoyed the experience.
