THE 'Little Red Tractor', symbolic of British-produced foods, will start appearing on 1kg packs of Silver Spoon sugar.

It follows the launch of a farm assurance scheme for sugar beet devised by the NFU, British Sugar - which owns Silver Spoon - and Red Tractor-operator Assured Food Standards. "This is a positive development for British sugar beet growers," said NFU president Sir Ben Gill.
