A big week for YFC

LAST week saw Philip Mosley, Elizabeth Johnson and Rachel Wilson from the Yorkshire Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs transporting a giant Yorkshire pudding around the district.

It was great to see that the new president of the Yorkshire show, R E Howard-Vyse, made an appearance and followed the pudding on its journey into Pickering, to give his support to the YF movement in Ryedale, and helped in the clubs' efforts to raise awareness of the organisation and attract new members. On behalf of the Ryedale district, thanks to Mr Howard-Vyse for giving up his very valuable time.

Did you see the Yorkshire pudding? If not, come along to one of the clubs' meetings to see what the club has to offer. There's no obligation to join, if you're aged 10-26 and enjoy any aspect of the countryside, come along and meet the very friendly members. All meetings commence at 7.30pm unless otherwise stated.
