RUSWARP
The annual two-day sale of suckled calves again produced high-quality cattle which commanded premium prices. The 945 head of cattle forward met an exceptional trade which resulted in every single animal being sold. The usual large attendance of buyers from all over the north of England increased the average price of the clean cattle by £20 to £30 per head on last year. Steers with no claim and the best spring-born heifers were particularly sought after. On October 9, all bulls were an impressive trade, averaging £50-£60 per head more than last year.
