COULD we please use your letters column to express our thanks to Ryedale District Council for organising and funding the pumping station in Norton Road. We appreciate this has come in for a lot of criticism, ie the length of time the road was closed, supposedly not big enough pumps, but to us and our immediate neighbours this has proved to be a brilliant solution to our flooding problems. read more
