Royal honour for Malton woman

A MALTON woman has been honoured for her services to equestrian activities.

Mrs Grizel Sackville Hamilton was presented with a British Riding Clubs' (BRC) Life President's Award by the Princess Royal, who is president of the society, pictured above.

The award is given in recognition of outstanding service to the Riding Clubs movement, which is affiliated to the British Horse Society.

Mrs Sackville Hamilton has been a Riding Club member since 1970. Some of her numerous roles have been as dressage judge, serving on the Riding Club national executive committee, Riding Club master judge, and Riding for the Disabled association regional instructor.
