Buck's debut delight
RYEDALE'S star 400m runner Richard Buck made a winning debut for England schools under-17s against Scotland, Wales and Ireland at Cardiff.
The Lady Lumley's School, Pickering, student clocked 48.50 to finish well ahead of second-placed runner Ryan Thomas, who was also representing England.
The pair follwed their one-two by helping England schools to win the 4x400m relay.
Buck is to run in the under-17s AAAs Championships at Sheffield next month.
