YOUNG James Kendall was the pick of the bunch at Malton Show.
The Howsham Hall pupil won a trophy for his picture in the artwork class, drawn in school to the theme of As I Walked Out One Summer's Morning.
James was far from the only success for Howsham Hall at the show, with many other pupils earning certificates for their work, which were presented by Peter Lawrence, the new president of Malton and Norton Rotary Club, which sponsored the children's section.
