It's all Greek at Langton!

CHILDREN at a North Yorkshire primary school stepped back in time for a taste of Greek life for their latest project.

Year Five and Six pupils at Langton Primary School, near Malton, made sure they looked the part when Greek slave Lucy Adlington arrived to talk about her life.

Class teacher Sheila Crone explained: "Lucy is part of a history group and she really brings the subject to life.

"We have already done quite a lot of ground work but the children have learned an awful lot dressing up, spinning and making herbal remedies."

Mrs Crone said all of the nine to 11-year-olds were keen to learn more about the ancient Greeks.

"Everyone was volunteering and it was great fun," she said.

"We have just finished the SATS so it was really nice for the children."
