WI ladies do their bit

THE village of Sinnington received its annual spring clean thanks to the members of the local WI.

"It is something that a lot of WIs do in the spring," explained Lorna Woodroffe, one of those WI members who took part.

"We have been doing this for a lot of years. We go round with plastic bags and our gloves on and pick up any litter that's around."

The WI members filled eight bags with rubbish. Lorna put the sheer amount down to the windy weather of late.

She also urged villagers to do their bit in ensuring that Sinnington stays as tidy as possible.
