Super calf goes to auction

THE supreme champion calf at the All Breeds All Britain Calf Show will be

auctioned at Borderway Mart, Carlisle, on Thursday October 31.

Sixteen-month-old Cloudnine Leduc Cherish is one among the consignment of 87 pedigree Holsteins in the dispersal sale of the Upsall and Cloudnine herds

for Rob Dickson and his son and daughter-in-law, Iain and Tammy; the Dicksons live at Nunthorpe, near Middlesbrough.

The sale will be conducted by Harrison & Hetherington. Catalogues are available from the firm's pedigree department

The All Breeds All Britain Calf Show held at the National Agricultural Centre, Stoneleigh, Warwickshire, on October 12-13, was the first of its kind, jointly organised by the leading dairy breed societies representing Holsteins, Ayrshires, dairy shorthorns and Jerseys.
