Please be patient

WHAT a sad, sad, world we live in.

Time governs our lives but we never step back and think what it does to us. For three months now I've been going daily during the week to have treatment done by a nurse at Derwent Surgery. I often go half a hour before my appointment to make sure I'm there when the nurse has time so see me.

Many a time I've been seen early because someone hasn't turned up or been late for their appointment. But the saddest thing I have seen are the people who complain their appointments are late and they have to wait to be seen. They must remember there are always people worse off than themselves who need treatment. Not only have nurses their set appointments but also doctors have to ask them to do certain tests on top to fit in.

More staff have been taken on to help and more rooms are to be built shortly to help cut the workload of each nurse. All the staff from the doctors to the cleaners work very hard to help patients so please, please forget time and just wait happily.

My last point is to switch off your mobile phone inside, these could affect a machine reading, making the difference between life and death.
