RE: Mr Tony Hemesley's letter (June 6). I agree with him that young people in Ryedale should not be bored. We were never bored when we were young because my dad always found us something to do.
There is one more facility that I would like to add to the list and that is indoor bowls. It is a game that anybody can play. Age is no barrier. We have one gentleman who plays from a wheelchair, and plays very well. We also have young lads/lassies from eight years old who play in the Yorkshire League. We run a training class on Wednesday nights from September to April and all it costs is £1 for two hours' fun. You can borrow woods and shoes so why not give it a try. You will soon be hooked. For more information ring Chris on (01653) 600016.
So, happy bowling.
