Gardener's question time

A LUCKY Ryedale woman's garden will be blooming this time next year - and it'll be thanks in no small part to expert gardener Paul Radcliffe.

Anna Rowntree has "won" him for one day in a raffle and is looking forward to receiving some invaluable advice on which plants and flowers she should use. The raffle was organised by the Helmsley Walled Garden, where Mr Radcliffe is based.

Mrs Rowntree, who lives in Kirkbymoorside, said: "I was absolutely astounded because they sold over 800 tickets and I never expected to win.

"I am hoping he will be advising me and helping me to put some plants in. I won £25 of plants so hopefully he will put forward some suggestions."
