SIMON DYSON’S sparkling return to form at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth shot him 40 places up the world rankings.
The 36-year-old North Yorkshire golf star, pictured, is up from 187th to number 147 in the global standings after finishing in a share of fifth place in the flagship European Tour tournament.
Prize money of 183,825 euros also elevated his Race To Dubai position to number 29, taking his season’s earnings to 406,744 euros.
Dyson is delighted with his form heading into Thursday’s Nordea Masters at the PGA Sweden National course in Malmo.
“Since Abu Dhabi (in January), I have had a couple of six or seven unders but most have been around the par mark,” he said.
“I can’t seem to get fired, but I shot eight under at the weekend.”
