THREE people have been charged following an incident in the centre of Kirby Misperton village yesterday.
At about 9.10am, two men climbed on to a tanker as it drove through the village to the fracking wellsite on Habton Road.
Police say that a 28-year-old man has been charged with hindering lawful work, whilst a 56-year-old man has been charged with tampering with a motor vehicle.
The two men have been released on bail with a condition not to be within 1.5 miles of the hydraulic fracturing site - an area which includes the village of Kirby Misperton.
A 27-year-old woman has also been charged with wilfully obstructing Main Street, Kirby Misperton, during the same incident. She has been released on unconditional bail.
All three will appear at York Magistrates' Court in February.
