A CYCLIST died eight days after a crash, police have confirmed.
The 56-year-old man was cycling in Malton Road, near Elmfield Avenue, in York, on Saturday, June 3, when he was involved in a crash with a blue BMW 130d driven by a 34-year-old local woman.
North Yorkshire Police said today that the cyclist was treated at York Hospital, but released to his home address where he died on Sunday, June 11.
A spokesman said officers want to speak to anyone who remembers seeing the crash, or the cyclist of BMW prior to the incident, "so they can establish the full circumstances around the incident".
Anyone with information should phone police on 101, select option two, and ask to speak to TC 1470 Gemma Wood.
Alternatively, email Gemma.Wood@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk, and quote reference number 12170096518.
