RYEDALE Folk Museum is looking for more volunteers for the 2017 season.
There are a range of opportunities for interested individuals and the museum is particularly hoping to find people who would like to tend the garden areas and meet and greet visitors.
On Thursday, February 23, the museum will hold a volunteer recruitment day for people who want to come along and find out more. Interested individuals can drop-in between 10am and 4pm, with no obligation to sign-up. The staff team and other volunteers will be on hand to chat about the museum and the opportunities on offer.
Jennifer Smith, museum director, said “Our museum volunteers are a very dedicated group of people.
“We need new volunteers all the time, in order that we keep the museum open for business, care for our collections and ensure that our visitors have an enjoyable time.
“Volunteering at the museum is a great way to meet people and support a well-loved local institution.”
For those interested in volunteering that cannot attend the open day, they can phone or email Craig Irving, operations manager, on 01751 417367 or email info@ryedalefolkmuseum.co.uk
