CHILDREN have enjoyed a thrilling display of bike skills as part of a scheme to encourage cycle safety.
A team from the 3Sixty display riders tackled obstacles and demonstrated their skills - including jumping over members of staff at Norton Primary School
Sports teacher Tom Myers said: "We are having a real push to make sure every child can ride a bike safely before leaving primary school and promoting the health benefits of riding a bike as a good way to travel.
"All of our Year 6 children, whose parents have consented, have passed either their level one or their level one and two bikeability training."
Mr Myers said: "Year 5 also now complete a five-week cycling course as part of their PE curriculum and over half of Year 6 completed some mountain bike training and a full day trip to Dalby Forest with PC Nick Coning and myself.
"The 3Sixty bike show gave the children an idea of other cool stuff they can do in the future on a bike if they are willing to practise and work really hard at getting good balance on a bike - not that we are promoting cycling off vans anytime soon."
