A MAN suffered a head injury in an attack in York this week.
North Yorkshire Police said the 21-year-old was hurt during an altercation at about 6.35pm on Monday, July 18, in Scarcroft Road near the allotments.
A spokesman said the victim was taken to York Hospital for treatment and later discharged, and a 25-year-old man was arrested later that day. He was later released on bail.
Detectives want to find out what happened prior to the incident, and particularly want to speak to members of the public who assisted the victim before the ambulance arrived.
