IT'S the game of the season so far this Sunday when Glasgow City take on Celtic in the Premier League Cup semi-final at Petershill Juniors' ground in Springburn.

First and second in the league respectively, City and Celtic have yet to meet this season, but both have started well, with City having a 100% record.

This is also City's last domestic fixture before they head off to the last 16 of the Uefa Cup in Norway and City boss Peter Caulfield knows his side have it tough.

He said: "We could have done without such a difficult game before leaving next Tuesday for Oslo, but it is a tie we look forward to. If we win we will be in our first cup final of the season and we couldn't leave for Europe on a better high.

"Celtic are a terrific side and have signed a lot of new players so will be even stronger than last year. But if we play to our capabilities we have the quality to get the result we want."

The other semi sees an all-Edinburgh clash, Hibs v Spartans, which takes place next Wednesday.

The Petershill semi will take place slightly later than normal at 4pm, but the regular domestic Premier League games on Sunday will kick-off at 2pm as usual.

Fixtures: Premier League Cup: Glasgow City v Celtic. Premier League: Spartans v Forfar, Raith v Aberdeen, Dundee United v Boroughmuir, Kilmarnock v Hamilton Accies.
