Body found in Staxton Woods
POLICE have recovered the body of a man near the village of Staxton.
Police received a call from a member of the public at 12.26pm on Friday, after they found the man in Staxton Woods. Although the man is yet to be formally identified, the family of missing Cayton man Alan Wilkinson have been informed.
The 65-year-old went missing on December 8.
A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out to determine the cause of the man’s death and a report will be prepared for coroner.
