RYEDALE and Scarborough councils and the North York Moors National Park have teamed up to promote the Yorkshire Coast and North York Moors.

They attended the Destinations Show at Event City in Manchester at the weekend, which hosted thousands of holidaymakers, holiday companies and coach operators.

The team were promoting Ryedale attractions as well as tourist guides, festivals and events, including Malton Food Lovers Festival, Railway In Wartime Weekend, Whitby Regatta, Scarborough Armed Forces Day and Filey Food Festival.

Ryedale District Council’s visitor economy officer, Craig Nattress, said: “These exhibitions attract thousands of people from small associations to larger coach operators and individual couples and families all looking to plan their holidays in 2015.”
