A FORMER chapel has reopened its doors as a cookery school.
Initially run as a pop-up facility earlier in the year to coincide with the town's Food Lovers Market, the Malton Cookery School was officially launched last Friday with a new website and range of courses through into 2015.
Tom Naylor-Leyland, who is behind the cookery school, based in Saville Street, said: “We have created a ‘home from home’ kitchen in the setting of an old Baptist chapel.
"As I’ve been cooking ever since I watched both my mother and grandmother in the kitchen as a child, I wanted to instil the same relaxed family feel in the school which I believe we’ve achieved.”
