RYEDALE Folk Museum is revving up for this weekend's annual Morris Minor Car Rally The rally, which is organised by York Morris Minor Club, returns for its fifth year on Sunday, September 7 Over 40 cars, of all makes and models to be on display including Morris Minors, Austin 1800s, BMW Isettas, Sinclair C5 and everything in-between.

Visitors will be able to get up close and see a collection of cars spanning the decades and meet the owners as well as taking the opportunity to explore the Museum.

Events co-ordinator, Emma McKenzie said: “This event is a great opportunity for motoring enthusiasts and families to visit the museum and see cars from years gone by. Previous shows have been a great success and the event is growing year on year”.

Vehicles will be judged during the show under seven different categories by the owners on a self judging basis.

Ian Woodcock, Chairman of Yorvik MMOC said: “We love holding our annual branch rally at the museum, and keep coming back for two reasons; the setting is just superb and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff is incomparable."

The event takes place from 10am - 4pm within the museum grounds, and is included in the normal admission fees.
