TWO teenagers who carried out a number of burglaries in Scarborough have been convicted.

A 15-year-old local boy admitted three offences at houses in Sitwell Street, Pollard Gardens and Whin Bank over three days in June, stealing cash, a games console, cigarettes and a iPhone, docking station and car keys. He appeared before Scarborough Youth Court on August 12.

A 17-year-old local boy also admitted a burglary charge at a house near Pollard Gardens overnight on June 8. He appeared before Scarborough Youth Court on Tuesday.

Both juveniles, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were given Youth Rehabilitation Orders with intensive supervision from Scarborough Youth Court.
