A NORTON College student who was one of the bridesmaids at the celebrity wedding of Georgia Horsley and McFly's Danny Jones has said it was an amazing and emotional day.

Sophie Roger, deputy head girl at the school, appears in this week's 17-page picture spread of the celebrations in Hello! which was sold-out in Malton by Monday lunchtime.

The 17-year-old, who lives in Rillington, found out last August that she was going to be part of the big day but was unable to tell anyone because of the couple's deal with the magazine.

"Everything had to be kept a secret and I wasn't allowed to say where the wedding was going to be held or anything about my dress, not even to my family," she added.

"The day itself was amazing - it was such a special day and Georgia was so calm and looked absolutely stunning."

Sophie said she had previously met the McFly band members through Georgia, who is related to her family.

The model was a bridesmaid at the wedding of Sophie's parents, Sally and Lee, who also attended the big day.

"The Mcfly guys are really friendly and down to earth and were really lovely at the wedding," Sophie added.

"It was a really emotional day and one which I will always remember."

Also sworn to secrecy was the Talbot Hotel’s Front of House Manager, Francesca Tanner, who was the only one who knew who was booked to stay for last Saturday's wedding.

“The atmosphere was fantastic and it was an absolutely brilliant weekend, because all the stars were so lovely and appreciative of our efforts. They chatted to staff and both Danny’s mother and grandmother, in particular, thanked us saying how delighted they were with everything.”

Georgia and Danny spent their first night as a married couple at the four poster bedroom suites, Nantclwyd.

“On Sunday, the party atmosphere continued with the new Mr and Mrs Jones joining their family and wedding guests at breakfast-time with more friends calling in to see them," Francesca added.

" They were just about the last to leave, saying goodbye to all their family before they left quietly in their own car. It’s sad it’s all over – it’s been fun to be part of such a glamorous and happy occasion.”
