UPDATE: THREE people have been taken to hospital after a three-vehicle crash on the A64 in North Yorkshire.

The Yorkshire Ambulance Service said two men and a woman were taken to Scarborough Hospital, following the accident at Staxton at 3pm today.

North Yorkshire Police said the woman suffered more serious but not life-threatening injuries while the other casualties had minor injuries.

A spokesman said the road was blocked but vehicle recovery experts were on the scene to remove the damaged vehicles.
