Bobby Ball, one of the nation’s favourite comedians, will be performing in Norton as part of Love Norton ’14, a community festival to spread love in the town.

Bobby will be performing at St Peter’s Church House, Langton Road, Norton, on Friday, February 21, at 7.30pm. Love Norton ’14 has been organised by churches across the town, of all denominations, to raise the Norton’s profile and spread love among its residents.

The Reverend Rachel Hirst, vicar of St Peter’s Church said, “Norton is a lovely place, but it can sometimes be overlooked, especially as its so close to Malton. Love Norton ’14 is a year of events organised by the churches: we believe God loves Norton, and we want to share that love with people here. We want to remind people that their town is not second best, there’s great things about Norton, and it’s a great place to live.”

Bobby Ball said, “I’m delighted to be performing in Norton, and I think it’s great that the churches are spreading some love and laughter with Love Norton ’14. I’ll be sharing stories about my life and faith, and having some fun. I want to show people that being a Christian is not boring. In fact its the opposite. It’s great! God wants us to have fun and laugh and enjoy this wonderful life he has given us.”

Tickets cost £5, and are available at the door or by phoning 01653 699961.
