RYEDALE MP Anne McIntosh is calling for more money to be found to improve the A64 from York to Scarborough.

Miss McIntosh has written to the chairman of the York, North Yorkshire and East Riding Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) asking for urgent funding for road safety improvements to the A64 from a £2 billion Government fund which the LEP manages, after Prime Minister David Cameron suggested the road may qualify for infrastructure funding in the House of Commons earlier this month.

Miss McIntosh said investment could bring road safety measures to villages Ganton, Rillington, Heslerton, Sherburn and Staxton which have none at present.
